Last Thursday we welcomed our UNAA National President Dr Donnell Davis & UNAA Secretary Susan McHattie for a roundtable debrief of the 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York. This session covered the theme of “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening
institutions and financing with a gender perspective”.

We were also joined by representatives from the UNAA Vic Board and staff, the UNAA Status of Women Committee, UNAA Vic & AIIA Young Professionals. 

The roundtable covered the importance of the CSW and the outcomes of the session, including Australia’s role. There was also discussion on the future CSW conferences with special highlight of the UN Summit of the Future in Sept 2024.
