2020 Internship Program closed due to COVID-19
We will not be seeking any further interns for 2020 because of the impact of COVID-19.
Semester 1 interns who had only just started with us when we closed the office will, hopefully, be able to complete their internships with us during Semester 2 if we have resumed normal operations by then.
Subject to the current situation being resolved, we will open for applications in November for Semester 1, 2021.
We provide opportunities for tertiary students to undertake internships. These are timed to coincide with Semester 1 and 2 each year.
You must be a current tertiary student when you undertake the internship.
We only take applications for internships twice a year – in April (for Semester 2) and November (for Semester 1, the following year).
When applications are open, please email a one page CV or cover letter to email@example.com. No more than one page will be reviewed.
Things to consider before applying:
–Our internships are office-based and involve predominantly administrative tasks – there is no field work
–We are not part of the UN itself – we promote the UN’s work and ideals through our events and programs in Victoria
–Internships are unpaid.
–Please don’t apply if you are planning to travel during the semester.
- -Maintaining our social media presence
- -Assistance with administration of our programs and events, including publicity campaigns, database updates
- -Research on specific issues/topics
- -Assisting the Education Program Coordinator run our Model UN Conferences.
All interns will be required to commit to:
- –One semester (12 weeks)
- –One day per week (9.30am – 4.30pm)
- –Becoming a concession UNAA Victoria member.
We do not offer Work Experience placements for secondary students.
