Model UN Conferences

We run Model UN Conferences in schools and universities to actively train young people in advocacy, debating and global thinking.

Climate Change Program

Following on from the United Nations 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, the United Nations Association of Australia is developing a national, inclusive climate management framework. This is being done with the support of the Reichstein Foundation.

Human Rights Program

The UNAA is coordinating a national program to raise awareness of the benefits of Australia gaining a seat on the Human Rights Council while also encouraging the Australian Government to uphold Australia’s human rights record and fulfil our international obligations.

World Enironment Day Awards

Held annually to coincide with World Environment Day (5 June), these awards seek to recognise Australian environmental leaders and inspire individuals, organisations and companies to lead by example in developing sustainable environmental solutions.

Media Peace Awards

Held annually to coincide with UN Day (24 October), these awards recognise people working in the media who raise awareness, stimulate debate and often influence change in public policy.

Global Goals Academy

The Global Goals Academy is a leadership series aimed at educating and empowering change towards achieving the UN's Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
