Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations opened the Women Deliver (WD2026) conference in Melbourne, being hosted for the first time in its history in Oceania.
The address focused on the widening gaps of inequality due to new technologies which is amplifying misogyny and violence online. In its 80th year, the United Nation focus is on reform and efficiency, and Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed remains hopeful and driven to take these conversations back to New York and seek real change to better the lives of women, girls and youth everywhere.
It was great to have our Co-President of the UNAA Victoria Future Leaders Network Che Mudunna representing UNAA Victoria at the conference.
