Roundtable: Report back from the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69 Beijing+30)

The 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is on at the UN in New York, 10 – 21 March 2025. Join us in April to hear what happened.

The annual session of the CSW is the UN’s largest gathering on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

2025 marks the thirtieth anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action – the world’s most comprehensive plan created to achieve the equal rights of all women and girls. Agreed by 189 governments in 1995, at the Fourth World Conference on Women, the Platform centres on 12 areas of action –covering jobs and the economy, political participation, peace, the environment, and ending violence against women. The CSW69 Beijing +30 is a review and appraisal of the implementation of the Platform and an assessment of current challenges.
